Night Sledding

Experience the thrill of sledding at Le Massif de Charlevoix. Racing down the face of Mount Liguori on our 7.5 km track is an exhilarating must-do activity. Slide through tight turns and nighttime landscapes with only a headlamp to guide the way. It's an experience like no other in Quebec!

Nocturnal Sledding with Catski

Discover Le Massif in one of the most exciting, unique ways. Travel via cat ski to the top of our 7.5-km-long sled trail and descend with your sled and nothing but your headlamp lighting the way. A one-of-a-kind Québec experience!

Details 

The descent is thrilling but not continuous. There are several stops along the way that require walking a few metres, including one halfway at a warm chalet for a well-deserved break.

  • Online advanced reservations are required
  • Arrive at the specified meeting point at the top of the mountain 30 minutes before departure:
    185 Chemin du Massif, Petite-Rivière-Saint-François, QC, G0A 2L0
  • Minimum age requirement: 10 years old
  • We strongly encourage adult supervision for children ages 10–14
  • A guardian's signature is required for participants ages 10–17
  • Activity duration: Approximately 2 hours
  • Depart from the summit, just behind the Snow School
  • Sled trail is a dedicated, groomed, natural snow-covered trail
  • Transportation is via cat ski from the sledding welcome area to the trailhead
  • Helmets are mandatory. Hockey and bicycle helmets are prohibited, only ski/snowboard helmets are allowed. If you do not own a helmet, be sure to rent one when you purchase your sledding ticket. 

Nocturnal Sledding + Snowshoeing

Explore Le Massif in a wildly different way. Start with an invigorating 3 km snowshoe hike led by a guide who will take you to the start of your sled run, where you’ll descend a 7.5 km long trail by headlamp and the sound of your own screams.

  • Wear light clothing for the hike and pack warmer layers in a backpack for the sledding descent
  • Bring water
  • Transportation is via cat ski from the sledding headquarters to the trailhead
  • Helmets are mandatory. Hockey and bicycle helmets are prohibited, only ski/snowboard helmets are allowed. If you do not own a helmet, be sure to rent one when you purchase your sledding ticket. 
  • If you have your own snowshoes, we strongly recommend that you bring them. Snowshoes will be provided on site.

Equipment

To make sure you have a great time, remember to bring:

  • Warm boots, slim toque (no pompoms), and gloves/mitts
  • Warm winter outerwear
  • Goggles/sunglasses
  • Helmet (hockey and bicycle helmets are prohibited, only ski/snowboard helmets are allowed); if you do not own a helmet, be sure to rent one when you purchase your sledding ticket.
