America's first zero emission passenger train in Charlevoix this summer
A concrete step towards sustainable mobility: Groupe Le Massif collaborates in the launch of the first zero emission passenger train in America.
Sustainable development has always been at the heart of Groupe Le Massif's development vision. For over 20 years, it has contributed to the deployment of various initiatives and activities with low environmental impact, as well as to the implementation and optimization of infrastructures on the territory.
It is as owner of Chemin de fer de Charlevoix that Groupe Le Massif announces today that it will collaborate in the implementation of the first zero emission passenger train in America. From June to September 2023, visitors from around the world will be able to try out the green hydrogen train while discovering the spectacular environment of Charlevoix, between river and mountains.
This technological showcase, made possible thanks to innovative partners such as Alstom and the Government of Québec, presents a strong potential impact on the region's economic ecosystem, a springboard for the creation of value for the world-class four-season destination that is Le Massif de Charlevoix, and new foundations for sustainable tourism.
The official press release is available here (French version).
The date of the train's inaugural trip will be known later, and tickets are on sale on Réseau Charlevoix’s website.
