Development of a new ski-in ski-out real estate sector
Le Massif de Charlevoix is beginning the development of a new ski-in ski-out real estate sector at the base of the mountain and almost all units are already reserved.
November 10, 2022 - As real estate development takes its place at the base of the mountain, notably with the opening of Club Med, Le Massif de Charlevoix begins construction of a new townhouse project in the Grande-Pointe sector of the mountain at the foot of the slopes. A development that focuses on the pure ski-in ski-out experience, with proximity to all outdoor activities, the river and various services.
Almost all the units are already reserved
It seems that the call of the mountain is being felt as the majority of the project's 30 townhouses have been snapped up in just a few days by potential buyers who had already left their contact information within the last year.
"Nature-based spaces are in demand and the excitement for our development is being felt. This is a pivotal year in our development. It's great to see that projects that have been long thought out and worked on are coming to fruition," says a surprised Nicolas Racine, Vice President and General Manager of Groupe Le Massif.
A sector prized by Le Massif's clientele
The 30 townhouses are strategically located at the base of the mountain, between the Grande-Pointe and Maillard chairlifts. This prime location will allow users to live a pure ski-in ski-out experience, directly at the bottom of the slopes with direct access to all winter and summer activities. A product that has resonated with a clientele in search of this experience at Le Massif de Charlevoix, and that will help animate this sector of the mountain, i.e. access from the base of the mountain. The Société immobilière du Massif de Charlevoix has begun infrastructure and site preparation work, with construction set to begin in April 2023 for delivery of units in the fall of 2023.
Employee housing - A mountain community at the foot of the slopes
The construction of the building dedicated to its employees at the base of the mountain is underway and should be completed in the coming weeks. An innovative and necessary measure to allow the mountain to become even more attractive in its recruitment efforts.
The building located at the base of the mountain includes turnkey housing units with 4 rooms or 3 private rooms per unit and will be able to accommodate 50 employees. Each unit will be equipped with kitchen, living room and full bathroom. In an effort to alleviate the labour shortage, Le Massif de Charlevoix wishes to reinforce the feeling of belonging to a mountain community.
The Global Development Plan at the Base of the Mountain
Le Massif de Charlevoix is currently working on a global development plan at the base of the mountain, which includes opportunities to purchase units and real estate investment opportunities sequenced over several years that are strategically located near recreational and tourism activities and services. These developments will complement the area's tourism offering, including Club Med, townhomes and the upcoming Base Camp resort.
