Summer Holidays Brimming With New Experiences Await At Le Massif De Charlevoix!
From hiking, trail running, and mountain biking to rediscovering The Mechanical Bird or enjoying fresh air, Le Massif de Charlevoix offers an unforgettable mountain getaway. Exciting new additions enhance this summer’s experience, from the first light of day to evenings under the starry sky.
New Flight for The Mechanical Bird
The iconic nighttime attraction returns in 2024 in a grand and extraordinary form. In a renewed and never-seen-before format, The Mechanical Bird now includes a festive and welcoming area at the summit, a gondola descent towards the river, a course featuring a new tableau at the base trail, and a luminous chairlift ascent to the summit. Dinner-show packages are now offered at the summit chalet cafeteria, near all the entertainment, activities and departure of The Mechanical Bird experience, as well as at the Camp Boule restaurant, by reservation only.
Free Animation and Activities for All Ages
Every evening except Tuesday, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., a program featuring guided hikes to Le Buton and campfire storytelling is offered free of charge to all visitors at the summit of the mountain. A treasure hunt is also available to guests enjoying dinner at the Camp Boule restaurant. In case of rain, indoor alternatives are provided.
Nearly 15 Extra Kilometers of Trails and Electric Bike Rentals
To enhance the trail offering for families, some cross-country ski trails of the Sentier des Caps are adapted for mountain biking, including La Boréale and the Lac Gauthier loop, located at the summit of the mountain. Young and old alike can thus explore the vast territory and incomparable horizons of Le Massif de Charlevoix on two wheels, on a total of nearly 55 km of trails. Electric bikes are also added to the rental fleet at the summit shop for full enjoyment.
Packages and Getaway Aboard the Train de Charlevoix All Summer
From the Chute-Montmorency station in Quebec City, passengers are transported aboard the Train de Charlevoix through magnificent landscapes between the river and the mountain, from Friday to Sunday. Upon arrival, the spectacle continues with the gondola package, which allows you to observe Charlevoix from a new angle, and enjoy the view from the top of the mountain, and its hiking trails. You can also opt for the panoramic brunch package by chef David Forbes, served at the Camp Boule restaurant. A brand new getaway to Baie-Saint-Paul is also offered to guests staying at Le Massif.
New Chalets Grande-Pointe for Rent at the Base
Strategically located at the foot of the trails, between the river and the mountain, these townhouses combine modern comfort with the splendour of life in the great outdoors. New units catering to the needs of families and groups of friends are now available for rent. They complement our range of mountain accommodations including studios, chalets, and apartments, until the opening of the Camp de base and its 120 ski-in ski-out condo-hotel units, scheduled for 2026. Just like for Chalets Grande-Pointe, it is possible to acquire a unit at the Camp de base right now.
A Region Rich in Sporting, Cultural, and Gastronomic Activities
For a summer getaway filled with outdoor activities, performing arts, or culinary delights, the Charlevoix region offers a rewarding and memorable experience. A palette of activities awaits visitors in search of majestic landscapes, adventures, and discoveries as fun as they are diverse. It is also possible to enjoy the Club Med without staying there thanks to day and evening passes that allow you to appreciate the facilities, programming, and meals offered there.
