Our priorities

To maximize the impact of our commitments, we will implement four priority actions. These initiatives aim to ensure the harmonious and sustainable development of our region while meeting the needs of our community.

The four-season transformation of the mountain will ensure sustainable access to the territory for future generations. Our sustainable mobility program will facilitate the movement of our guests and employees while reducing our environmental footprint. Supporting regional organizations working in mental health will improve the quality of life for residents of Charlevoix. Finally, our regional accessibility program will encourage healthy lifestyles, particularly among young people.

Together, we can create a future where tourism development, health, and well-being of our community are at the forefront of our concerns.

1. Four-season transformation of the destination

Our vision entails sensible, small-scale, and sustainable development for the years to come. This development will serve as an economic engine for the region, creating value at the provincial level, and establishing Le Massif de Charlevoix as a recognized draw and a world-class recreational tourism destination. This four-season transformation of activities will attract guests over a longer period, during less busy times annually, thus ensuring the mountain's sustainability.

Initiatives

A four-season program adjusted based on new climate realities and guest expectations, seeking quality, innovative, and authentic experiences.

Small-scale real estate development aimed at increasing guest capacity while optimizing occupancy.

Continuous development of a strong employer brand including a distinctive proposition: year-round employment, on-site accommodation, etc.

2. Sustainable mobility program

To promote sustainable tourism, we are implementing various initiatives to reduce the carbon footprint associated with the travel of guests and employees.

Initiatives

Implementation of an extensive network of electric charging stations, making Le Massif de Charlevoix one of the recreational centers with one of the largest networks of electric vehicle charging stations.

Refurbishment of railway tracks enabling the revival of the Charlevoix Train.

Collaboration on the technological showcase enabling the launch of the first zero-emission train in America in 2023.

Addition of electric-assist recreational vehicles for transportation around the mountain and its surroundings.

3. Support for regional organizations working in mental health

We care deeply about people's health, which is why our organization aims to improve the quality of life for those facing various mental health challenges in the region.

Initiatives

Promotional support for Bell Let's Talk Day, its annual themed day in January.

Creation of the L'Appel de la montagne Challenge presented by Bell Let's Talk, where profits are distributed to local organizations working in mental health and addiction management.

4. Regional Accessibility Program

This social commitment will be a natural extension of our corporate mission, which is to "Promote healthy lifestyles by fostering a love of sports, primarily among people in the region, especially among young people."
